Kampala, May 3rd, 2022 – Movit Products Limited, the leading manufacturer of personal and body care products in Uganda celebrated Eid al-Fitr with the Muslim fraternity through donating foodstuffs to the Muslims across the country.
The foodstuffs donated included; rice, sugar, maize flour, cooking oil, wheat flour, washing soap, and Movit goodies. The areas that benefited from the donations include Kampala, Mbale, Arua, and Mbarara as well as Movit Products employees.
Sheikh Abdul-Salam Mutyaba, Executive Imam, Kibuli Mosque, and Sheikhat Radhiyyah Namakula, Head of Women and Youth Department at Uganda Muslims Supreme Council received food items on behalf of the faithful in Kampala, donated through Kibuli Mosque and Old Kampala Mosque, on April 30, 2022.
Speaking at the handover, Mr. Eric Karungi, the Regional Business Manager, Movit Products said that Movit Products has a long-standing relationship with the Muslim fraternity in Uganda –adding that the company recognizes the importance of observing Ramadan and the value of giving and sharing with the fraternity.
“This is the 7th year Movit Products is celebrating the Eid with the Muslim fraternity, a sign of a strong relationship with our brothers and sisters,” he noted.
Sheikh Mutyaaba commended the management of Movit Products for not tiring to do good, especially during Ramadan.
“On behalf of fellow believers, we wish to express our gratitude to you for the contribution you continue to make during Ramadan when many need it and we are extremely delighted with your good gesture, Sheikh Mutyaaba said, adding that the items donated will help in reducing pressures on buying food items orchestrated by the increasing commodity prices countrywide.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, and is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwāl, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar.
