In commemoration of International Women’s Day, Movit Products Uganda organized a panel discussion for female staff, under the topic: “Women In Leadership, Sharing Career Growth Experiences”.

The dialogue held on March 7, was purposed to inspire young female professionals through sharing insightful career growth stories by women in leadership in the organization.

The panel comprised; the Group Chief Human Capital Officer, Daphne Kakonge, Group Chief Category and Innovation Officer, Toluwaleke  Salu, Legal Manager, Judith Ayebare, Group Strategy, and Corporate Affairs Lead, Sia Chami, Head of Planning, Joan Nabiyiki, Projects Manager and the event moderator, Allen Arinaitwe.

Movit Group Executive Chairman, Simpson Birungi graced the occasion and said: “Currently Movit Group has Exco leadership representation standing at 55% female and 45% male.”

“In the long term, we aim for 50 – 50 representation across all levels,” he said.

In addition, the event featured the launch of the Radiant Woman’s club, an initiative that aims to help female staff achieve their ambitions and develop their careers.
